Scheduled for August 14, 2024, this conference will be held at Millcreek Commons, offering a full day of insightful sessions, inspiring keynotes, and networking opportunities.
The UBC Wealth Esteem Conference is meticulously designed to provide participants with practical tools and strategies to navigate the complex financial landscape. Attendees will have the unique opportunity to learn from industry experts, gain insights into innovative investment strategies, and connect with potential investors and business partners.
Dr. Sidni Shorter, President & CEO of the Utah Black Chamber of Commerce, expressed her enthusiasm for the event: “The Wealth Esteem Conference represents a significant step towards economic empowerment for our community. The upcoming wealth creation and financial stability conference promises a day filled with insightful sessions and inspiring keynotes, all designed to equip attendees with the tools and knowledge necessary for financial success. The event begins at 8:00 AM with a breakfast and networking reception, providing an opportunity for professionals, industry leaders, and potential business partners to connect in a relaxed setting.
The official welcome and introduction at 8:30 AM will set the stage for a day of learning and growth. Dr. Calvin Mackie, a renowned speaker and entrepreneur, will deliver the first keynote on innovation, sharing his insights on its crucial role in potentially achieving financial success and community development. Following Dr. Mackie, Ashley Bell, a seasoned advocate for economic empowerment, will discuss themes of resilience and redemption in the pursuit of wealth.
As the morning progresses, attendees can choose from a variety of breakout sessions starting at 9:40 AM. In the Big Room, Shalaya Morissette will offer practical advice on navigating contracting opportunities within the Department of Energy. Concurrently, in the EOC Room, Shelby Diak, Daniel Bruner, and Xonos from the World Trade Center Commercial Services will explore global wealth-building strategies and the role of international commerce. In Breakout Room 1, Bill Braxton from Goldman Sachs will provide insights into market trends and investment opportunities, while another session, led by Jan Pro, will delve into franchising as a viable business model and path to financial independence.
The morning breakout sessions continue at 10:30 AM with more opportunities to gain valuable knowledge. The Big Room will host a session on pathways to prosperity, covering small business administration and supplier diversity initiatives. Over in the EOC Room, representatives from Morgan Stanley will discuss intentional investing and strategies for creating lasting wealth. In Breakout Room 2, Mountain Crest Investors will share tips and techniques for attracting investors and securing funding for business ventures. Additionally, Gary Rosenthal will offer wealth advising strategies to help attendees manage and potentially grow their assets effectively.
A brief lunch break from 11:45 AM to 12:15 PM allows attendees to recharge and network informally while enjoying a provided meal. The conference resumes at 12:30 PM with two keynote speakers. J. Alexander Martin, co-founder of FUBU, will share his entrepreneurial journey and the importance of building networks and leveraging partnerships. Following Martin, Kim Roxie of LAMIK will emphasize the tangible outcomes of cultivating wealth esteem and its impact on personal and professional lives.
The afternoon sessions commence at 1:40 PM, offering a repeat of some morning sessions for those who missed them or wish to delve deeper into specific topics. Shalaya Morissette will again discuss contracting opportunities within the Department of Energy in the Big Room. The EOC Room will continue the discussion on global wealth-building strategies with Shelby Diak, Daniel Bruner, and Xonos. In Breakout Room 1, Goldman Sachs will provide further insights on investment strategies, while Jan Pro will offer additional information and Q&A on franchising opportunities.
At 2:30 PM, the final set of breakout sessions begins, providing attendees with one last chance to gain valuable insights.
