The product quickly gained popularity, selling out on the Home Shopping Network (HSN) and appearing on NCAA campuses across the country.

This success paved the way for Graham’s next big idea, designed specifically for active lifestyles: the Headlightz Beanie. As a night runner, Graham wanted a product that combined warmth, visibility, and hands-free functionality. 

The options available—like clunky headlamps—were far from ideal, so she invented a beanie with a removable LED light. This innovative product became an instant hit among outdoor enthusiasts, pet owners, and anyone seeking a practical solution for staying visible and warm at night. Whether it’s for jogging, walking the dog, or managing a power outage, the Headlightz Beanie embodies Graham’s knack for addressing everyday challenges with functional, stylish solutions.

Without formal design training, she relies on resourcefulness and creativity to bring her ideas to life. “I’ll cut and glue pieces together or show a factory something I like and say, ‘Make it like this,’” she explains. She won Shark Tank, earned the title of Supplier of the Year from the Minority Supplier Development Council, and ranks in Amazon’s top 5% of Black-owned businesses. Her ability to overcome systemic barriers has made her a role model for aspiring entrepreneurs from underrepresented backgrounds.

Graham’s commitment to sustainability is another standout feature of her brand. ROQ Innovation recently eliminated harmful PFAS chemicals from its beanies, aligning with her mission to produce eco-friendly, high-quality products. This move reflects her dedication not only to solving everyday problems but also to making a positive impact on the environment.

What’s Next for ROQ Innovation?
