WESTLAND, Mich. – Entrepreneur, author, educator and mentor Dr. Shirley Luu will be among the featured speakers at the upcoming Prayer Breakfast of Champions, bringing a professional journey shaped by leadership, perseverance, education and a commitment to helping others reach their potential.

The three-day gathering, scheduled for August 28–30, 2026, in Westland, Michigan, will provide an opportunity for attendees to hear from leaders whose experiences demonstrate the importance of purpose, service and personal development.

For Dr. Luu, the appearance represents another chapter in a career that has increasingly placed her in front of audiences as a speaker, mentor and example of entrepreneurial leadership.

Over nearly 25 years, Dr. Luu has developed extensive experience in the financial services and insurance industries. But her professional story extends well beyond the technical aspects of her field. She has built a reputation around educating people, developing professionals and encouraging others to recognize their own leadership abilities.

Her journey has required persistence.

Like many entrepreneurs, Dr. Luu did not begin her career with every opportunity already in place. Her development came through years of learning, relationship-building, professional growth and a willingness to continue moving forward through challenges.

Those experiences have influenced the way she mentors others today.

Rather than presenting success as something that happens overnight, Dr. Luu emphasizes preparation, consistency, discipline and the importance of continuing to learn. Her professional journey demonstrates how experience can eventually become a resource for helping others navigate their own careers.

Mentorship has become an important part of that mission.

Throughout her career, Dr. Luu has worked with professionals at different stages of their development. Her approach recognizes that effective mentorship involves more than offering encouragement. It also requires sharing experiences, helping people develop confidence, identifying leadership qualities and encouraging individuals to become more accountable for their own professional growth.

That commitment to developing others has allowed Dr. Luu’s influence to extend beyond the clients and organizations she has directly served.

She has taught thousands of people and mentored hundreds of professionals as they explored careers and entrepreneurial opportunities. Through speaking, training and one-on-one guidance, she has sought to help individuals recognize possibilities they may not previously have considered.

Her work as an author provides another platform for that message.

Writing allows Dr. Luu to translate lessons from her personal and professional journey into ideas that can reach audiences beyond a conference room or speaking engagement. As an author, she brings together experience, leadership lessons and observations developed over decades of working with people from different backgrounds.

For Dr. Luu, leadership is not simply defined by a position or title.

It is reflected in how a person responds to challenges, treats others, shares knowledge and creates opportunities for the people around them. It also involves understanding that professional accomplishments can carry a responsibility to mentor and encourage the next generation.

That perspective aligns closely with the broader purpose of the Prayer Breakfast of Champions.

Hosted by Pastor Dr. Anthony D. Shannon, the event will bring participants together around themes of faith, generosity, leadership, purpose and service. Dr. Luu’s appearance will add the perspective of an entrepreneur who has spent decades developing her career while also becoming increasingly committed to education and mentorship.

The weekend will begin on Friday, August 28, with a Meet & Greet, providing attendees an opportunity to connect with other participants and invited leaders.

Programming will continue on Saturday, August 29, with a brunch, followed by a Speaker Service on Sunday, August 30.

The gathering will take place at 32747 Grand Traverse in Westland, Michigan 48186.

Dr. Luu’s participation comes during an important period in her professional journey. Her work continues to encompass entrepreneurship, authorship, education, public speaking and mentorship, allowing her to reach individuals through several different platforms.

Yet one consistent theme remains: helping people recognize what they are capable of becoming.

That philosophy can be particularly meaningful for younger professionals and aspiring entrepreneurs who may see the accomplishments of established leaders without seeing the years of work that preceded them.

Dr. Luu’s story provides another perspective.

Professional growth can involve setbacks, adjustments, learning experiences and moments when a person must decide whether to continue pursuing a larger vision. The lessons developed during those periods can eventually become some of the most valuable knowledge a leader shares with others.

As a mentor, Dr. Luu has the opportunity to provide something that cannot always be learned from textbooks: perspective.

As an author, she can preserve and expand those lessons.

As an entrepreneur, she can demonstrate the importance of creating, adapting and leading.

And as a speaker, she can challenge audiences to consider how their own experiences might eventually be used to encourage someone else.

When Dr. Shirley Luu takes the stage at the Prayer Breakfast of Champions, her appearance will therefore represent more than another speaking engagement. It will highlight a professional journey that has evolved into a broader commitment to leadership, mentorship, education and purposeful service.

For Dr. Luu, the next chapter is not simply about what she can accomplish herself. It is also about the people she can inspire, mentor and prepare to become leaders in their own right.
