MEMPHIS, Tenn. – A new chapter in Shelby County leadership will be celebrated in grand fashion when community members, business leaders, supporters and invited guests gather for the Inaugural Ball honoring Shelby County Mayor Mickell Lowery on Friday, October 2, 2026.
The formal celebration is scheduled to begin at 7:00 p.m. at The Peabody Hotel, 149 Union Avenue in downtown Memphis, providing an elegant setting for an evening recognizing Lowery and the beginning of a new era of county leadership.
More than simply a formal affair, the Inaugural Ball represents a moment of transition, celebration and optimism.
